SIGNAL
What the world tells you
Your brand voice, written down properly.
Not a PDF brand book that nobody opens. A specification precise enough that software can follow it, and that survives the people who wrote it leaving.
What Brand DNA is
Brand DNA is where the platform learns what your brand actually sounds like, and then holds it as a specification the rest of the platform must obey. It reads your website, the documents you upload and your product catalogue, then builds a structured profile: your identity and origin story, your voice with worked examples of what to do and what to avoid, the words you use and the words you never use, a tone profile, and a distinct voice for each channel. It also holds your visual identity and a layered safety check covering regulatory, platform and brand risk. Every caption, ad and article the platform generates is written against this, which is the difference between AI that sounds like your brand and AI that sounds like AI.
The problem
Every new writer reinterprets the brand from scratch.
A brand book gets written once, lives in a slide deck, and is read properly by about three people. Then a junior copywriter at the agency joins, a freelancer covers a launch, someone leaves, and each of them rebuilds their own mental model of the brand from whatever they can find. The drift is never dramatic enough to catch in review, and a year later the brand sounds like four different companies depending on the channel. Adding AI to that process does not fix it. It industrialises it.
What you get
What the profile actually holds
Voice, with worked examples
Not adjectives. Each voice attribute carries a do and a do-not written out, so the rule is demonstrated rather than described.
Shown, not asserted
The words you never use
Preferred and forbidden vocabulary, applied to everything the platform writes. If your brand has never once said "unlock", that is not an accident and it should not start now.
Enforced, not suggested
Your catalogue and your documents
Upload your product range and the material you already have, guidelines, decks, research. Read once and kept, so nobody re-explains the brand every time.
Yours, retained
Checked before it publishes
Every caption, ad and article is screened against regulatory, platform and brand risk before it can go out, and anything doubtful is held for a person.
Held, not blocked silently
In practice
Eight parts, and a score for what is still thin
A specification is finished when a competent writer who has never worked on your brand can produce a usable first draft from it alone. Sub-brands inherit the parent profile in full rather than starting from nothing.
Coverage
What it reads
| Input | What it gets from it |
|---|---|
| Your existing material | Guidelines, decks and research, read once and retained |
| Your product catalogue | So copy names real products rather than placeholders |
| Your published work | How the brand actually sounds, as opposed to how the book says it should |
| Your own corrections | Every overrule sharpens the specification, which is the part that compounds |
The last row is the one that matters. A brand book is written once. A specification gets better every time somebody rejects an output.
Where it connects
Everything downstream reads this
- Content Studio writes every caption, headline and article against the voice, vocabulary and channel rules held here.
- Competitor Radar suggests who to track based on how you position yourself, rather than asking you to list rivals cold.
- Time & Event Intelligence scores cultural moments against your values and audience, so the fit score means something specific to you.
- AEO/GEO Monitor checks whether AI assistants describe your brand the way your profile says it should be described.
- Audience Intelligence writes personas in your voice rather than in a generic marketing register.
Questions
Brand DNA, answered
How long does it take to build a Brand DNA profile?
The first pass runs in minutes from your website and uploads. Getting it to a score you would defend usually takes a working session with the Brand AI Assistant, because the parts that need a human are the parts no document contains.
What if our brand book is out of date?
That is the normal case. Upload it anyway. The profile is built from your website and catalogue as well, so contradictions surface as gaps rather than being silently inherited.
Can we edit what it decides?
Every field is editable and every change is logged. The profile is a working document you own, not a verdict.
Does it work for a brand with several product lines?
Yes. Sub-brands either build their own profile from their own site, or inherit the parent profile in full and get reviewed section by section.
Do you train models on our brand data?
No. Your profile is used to ground generation for your brand only. It is not used to train general models.
What happens to the profile if we leave?
It is your data and it is exportable. Nothing about the profile is locked to us.
See what your brand looks like as a specification.
We will build a first-pass profile from your website before the call, so the demo starts with your brand rather than a sample one.
